Chief API Officer, Kickflip.io

Hey all!

We've got an important announcement that you all need to know about!

Today, we are proud to release version 1.3 of the Kickflip Live Video Streaming SDKs for iOS and Android.

You should update your iOS and Android Kickflip SDKs to version 1.3 by updating your Cocoapods dependancies and Gradle files, respectively.

New in this version

You don't need to make any changes to your code to use the new version of the SDKs. The new versions only deal with changes that we've made to improve the stability, reliability and performance of our back-end. However, you might be interested in what's going on under the hood.

To improve the performance and scalability of Kickflip, we are using new APIs of the user management schemas of our upstream cloud service vendor. Previously, we were hitting arbitrary limits, which would require a manual intervention to remedy. With the new APIs (which weren't previously available to us when we wrote the 1.2 SDKs), we are able to scale your application to an infinite number of users without any manual intervention.

As always, we'd love to have your feedback and to know more about what you're using Kickflip for, and what other features you'd like to see!

Much love,

Rich Jones, Team Kickflip
